Celtic
Art Bronze Figurines and wall sculptures are presented to you
from Darby Creek Trading Co. We specialize in Celtic Art bronze
figurines that are manufactured in Ireland and imported to us in
the United States. If you are looking for a special Celtic
gift for someone, check out our Celtic Art Collection including
Celtic bronze spirits, wall art & crosses.
Leading our line is our
Celtic Spirits Bronze Figurines, which embodies the essence of Irish
and Celtic Art throughout the history of the arts in the Celtic
regions. In the Celtic Spirits Collection we carry many
different Celtic women and Celtic spirits including Spirit of
Dance, Spirit of Wind, Spirit of Joy and more. Celtic Art is ornamental that embodies complex
symbolism. Ranking high of some of the finest Celtic
Art designs are bronze figurines produced by Genesis Fine Arts of
Ireland.
In addition to our bronze figurines, we recently introduced
our Celtic Spirit wall art. These pieces were introduced
in 2007 and are extremely popular among connoisseurs of fine
Celtic art. All of these pieces are hand crafted in the
traditional method of bronze casting coupled with modern
"cold casting" techniques. Similar to the Celtic
bronze figurines, these sculptures are a little bit smaller and
are displayed in a shadow box that is matted and framed.
These shadow boxes were created to display these beautiful
bronze sculptures in an uniquely different form.
Also in our Celtic Art Collection we carry numerous styles of
Celtic Crosses. The origins of the Celtic Cross can be
traced back to Roman times but the symbolism of the Celtic Cross
is still unclear. Many people believe that
the circle of the Celtic Cross is a
symbol of eternity that emphasizes the endlessness of God’s love
as shown through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Some
of
the key Irish crosses include the
Carandonagh Celtic Cross and the
Duleek Celtic Cross, which we do
carry. The Carandonagh Celtic Cross
is named after St. Patrick and is one of the oldest free
standing high crosses. The Duleek Celtic Cross are usually
about 20 feet high but ours is much smaller at about 13.5" by
7.5". Also, this cross is typically decorated on all sides
but our cross that you can purchase presents the east face
with its knot work, spirals, and mazes; all symbolic
elements of Celtic art.
