Shipping & Returns



110% Low Price Guarantee.  Our guarantee is simple - we will match any competitor price for the exact same item.  If you find a competitor price that is lower than ours within 30 days of making your purchase - we will credit your account for 110% of the difference.  Simply call or email us with the web site address, telephone number, part number and detailed description of the product within 30 days of placing your order.  Go to low-price-guarantee.html for details.

Phone Orders. We welcome phone orders!  Our phones are normally staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (eastern time), Monday through Friday.  We often have staff on call in the evening and weekends so do not hesitate to call us outside our business hours.  If you receive a recording it is only because all our lines are busy - so please leave a message and someone will normally call back within a few minutes.

Return Policy (non floral).  If you are not completely satisfied with any stock item purchased, you can return the merchandise in its original condition and packaging for a refund, store credit or exchange (less shipping & handling).

 

This policy does not apply to floral, art, factory direct* and custom ordered or made-to-order products.  Please see our policy on these items below. All return requests must be made via email. Please include your full name, address, telephone number, order number, and reason for returning. Please make return request within five days of receipt via email.  Please do not return any products to Darby Creek's listed address or return address without a Return Merchandise Authorization number because these addresses will not be able to accept the return without the return authorization number.  If you need to request a return of a stock item, please submit your request for return shipping and packaging instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization  number to the following email address:  email address.  All returns must be in original condition with all original packaging materials.  If packaging material is damaged or missing a repacking charge may apply.

Made-to-Order & Clearance Items. All sales on made-to-order and clearance item products are final and not returnable including all art (indoor and outdoor), inspirational prints, tapestries, photography, and prints.

 

Factory Direct.  Items shipped Factory Direct are not returnable.

Coupons & Discounts. Several times a year Darby Creek will send emails with coupons offering savings on a variety of products.  Be sure you sign up to receive these coupons by clicking the yellow coupon text on the top of this page.

Email Marketing. Email is an excellent way for Darby Creek to communicate with its customers.  We send email for order confirmations, shipping notifications, and at times order status information.  On occasion, about 4-5 times a year, we also send out information about discounts, promotions, or special coupons that we offer.  We value you as a customer and we will  never ever sell or share your email address or any other information with any person or entity for any reason.  If at any time you wish to be removed from our mailing list there is a "opt-out" box on any promotional email we may send you.  Simply check the box and you will no longer receive any promotional email.

Shipping. The majority of all items are in stock and are shipped within one to two business days after receipt of order and approval of credit card.  Out of stock items shipments usually ship within 30 days. Custom ordered, custom made and factory-direct items will vary.  Artwork and prints take 3-4 weeks to ship.  Other custom items may take up to 30 days. Requests for express delivery (next day, 2nd day, etc.) is from shipping date not order date.  Delivery times vary depending on origin and destination distance.  Holiday Seasons (Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Mother's Day, etc.) delivery may be slightly longer than normal.  If delivery date is critical, please call Darby Creek before placing order to check stock status.  Darby Creek does not guarantee expedited shipping requests.  Please call for date critical orders. Please allow extra time for shipping during the holiday seasons.

 

Stolen or Missing Packages.  All packages are delivered by UPS or FedEx per customer's shipping address. Electroinc Proof of Delivery by UPS or FedEx completes all obligations of Darby Creek regarding delivery.  In the rare event that a package is missing or stolen, customer needs to contact their local police department, insurance company, and/or UPS. 

Insurance - Signature Required.  If requested via phone, Darby Creek will be happy to ship package requiring a signature upon delivery and insurance. Customer is resposible to have a person available on the day or days the UPS or other carrier delivers the package or is responsbile to pick the package up at their local UPS or FedEx facility.  Darby Creek is NOT responsbile for any package lost or stolen from customer's physical address.

 

Phone Orders.  All phone orders are subject to the same terms and conditions as web based orders.  Sales personnel are not authorized to deviate from policy unless confirmed in writing via email by Darby Creek Trading Co.

Freight Refunds.  Darby Creek may offer "free" freight on certain items.  When returning an item where freight is "free" only the cost of the actual product will be credited (less a $3.50 return fee).   That is, the cost of the shipping and handling that is included in the price of the wreath will not be credited. Pricing for expedited delivery are estimates and actual charges may be greater than reflected on the site or the order.  Darby Creek is not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery to customer's address. Darby Creek reserves the right to use any carrier regardless of carrier or ;method requested.

Repacking.  If a return items needs to be repackaged a small repackaging may apply.  Please ensure that all packaging supplies and materials are returned in original condition.

Canadian & European Orders. Shipments outside of the United States are welcomed. However, Darby Creek will not be responsible for any custom tax or duty assessed by any country outside of the United States.  Customers outside the United States are responsible for any customs tax or duty that may be assessed by their governments.

Outdoor Art.  Each outdoor art piece is made-to-order and the order MUST be cancelled within 3 days of placing the order.  Shipping can take from three to six weeks.  All Outdoor Art sales are final and cannot be returned.  

 

Wood & Cast Carvings Figurines. All carvings that are designated as wood carvings are made from 100% wood and are hand finished and hand painted.  All carvings that are not designated as wood are made from crushed pecan wood chips and/or crushed stone alabaster that are molded from an original master and hand finished and hand painted.  All items listed under the wood carving section are special ordered direct from the artist/factory and are not returnable.

Disclaimers. Darby Creek goes to great lengths to accurately reflect the sizes and colors of our products.  Colors are a result of digital technology, lighting, scanners, camera settings and the quality and settings of the monitor from which they are being viewed.  In addition, the colors of hand painted and natural items naturally vary and may fade over time.  Due to these variations, we can not guarantee that the color will match exactly that shown on your monitor. Sizes may vary slightly due to manufacturing processes. Credit Card Approval. Because of the custom nature of many of our products, orders will not be processed until approval and payment of credit card. Typically, credit cards are approved within one business day and all orders are processed within one working day of approval.

Stock Items. Many items listed on our site are in stock at our warehouse or our vendor's warehouses.  Certain items listed are custom made or stocked for us by our manufactures and importers.  To be absolutely certain that a particular item is in stock, please call us before ordering.   All outdoor art prints are custom made and may take 3-4 weeks to ship and are not returnable.

 

Seasonal Items.  Seasonal products are not returnable. *Special Orders, Custom Ordered, Made to Order and Factory-Direct.  Many of our bronze figurines, art, wood carvings, and other products are special ordered direct from our manufactures or made to order by Darby Creek.  These items include, but are not limited to: Genesis, Elisa Figurines, Art Prints, Armani, Enesco, Weatherprints, Tapestries, Oil Paintings, Prints, Floral and Wood Carvings* (Ducks, etc.). Factory direct items and custom ordered items can not be returned. Custom outdoor prints take 3-4 weeks to ship.  If you are unsure about the return-ability of an item, please call or write us before placing the order. 

Payment. Payment can be made by Master Card, Visa, Check or Money Order at the time of order.  We are not able to grant terms or C.O.D. orders.  Check or Money orders must be made by phone.  Entry of your credit card information indicates authorization of payment at the time of order and acceptance of our shipping and return policy.

Date Sensitive Delivery. We can not guarantee shipping by a particular requested date.  If you need an item by a particular date (birthday, holiday, etc.), please indicate so in the message box or call us to check stocking status before placing an order. Unless otherwise indicated non stock items and custom items may take up to 30-45 days to ship.  Shipping methods shipment from shipment date, not order date.

Warranty. Darby Creek goes to great lengths to accurately reflect the sizes and colors of our products.  Colors are a result of digital technology, lighting, scanners, camera settings and the quality and settings of the monitor they are being view on.  In addition, the colors of hand painted and natural items naturally vary.  Due to these variations, we can not guarantee that the color of the item will match exactly that shown on your monitor. Sizes and colors may vary slightly due to manufacturing processes. Natural floral items may fade over time when exposed to sunlight.  If your product is not as reflected, please notify us within seven days of receipt. Darby Creek reserves the right to substitute floral items due to seasonal availability.

Cancellation Policy. Stock item orders can be canceled at any time within 3 days of placing an order if item has not pulled or prepared for shipment. Special orders (bronze figurines), custom orders (floral and art) and factory direct items must be canceled within 48 hours of placing order. When requesting a cancellation, please send an email to with your name, order number and reason for cancellation.  Darby Creek strives to ship all orders on time.  If for any reason, we are more than 14 business days past due, Darby Creek will ship all domestic shipments free of freight charges up to $20.

Damage. Darby Creek Trading goes to great length to insure that your product arrives safely without damage.We are proud of our 99.9% success rate of packages arriving without issue. On rare occasions, a package is damaged during shipment.Upon approval from UPS (or other carrier) of any shipping damage claim, Darby Creek will repair or replace the item at no cost up to $100. Items that are received damaged must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the product.
